Comparison between Adobe Photoshop and DIGORA Software in Measurement of Alveolar Bone Density

Abstract
The goal of this research was to see how accurate Digora and Adobe Photoshop software were in measuring alveolar bone density.
Material and Methods:
50 patients had their periapical dental radiographs taken utilizing the long cone paralleling technique. All radiographs were obtained by digital x- ray Radio-visiography (RVG). The region of interest (ROI) In each radiograph, was determined and the gray levels were carried out using the Digora system(group I) and Adobe Photoshop version 7 (group II)
Results:
according to the results.of groups I & II, the records of both software had no statistically significant difference.in the mean bone density (BD) measurements (P> 0.05).
Conclusion:
Photoshop Software is a valid and reliable simple available, cheaper,and easyway in measuring radiographic bone density and it is as accurate as Digora for this purpose.
