Abstract

Colorectal Cancer Forms When The Uncontrolled Cell Growth Happens In The Cells Of The Large Intestine. Most Colorectal Cancers Originate From Small, Non-Cancerous Tumours Called Adenomatous Polyps That Form On The Inner Walls Of The Large Intestine. These Cancers Spread Through The Colon Wall To Involve The Adjacent Lymph Nodes And Ultimately Spread To Distant Organs Such As Liver, Lungs, Brain, And Bones. The Standardized Rates Of Colorectal Cancer In India Have Been Estimated To Be 4.2 And 3.2 / 100,000 For Males And Female, Respectively. The Pathogenesis Of Diseases Like Cancer Has Been Associated With Changes In The Mrna Expression, In The Present Study We Aimed To Investigate The Zip-1 That Is Involved In Zinc Homeostasis (Zip1-Zinc Absorption). Mts And Two Zinc Transporter Families, Zrt- And Irt-Like Proteins (Zip, Solute Carrier 39a [Slc39a]) And Zn Transporters (Znt, Slc30a), Play Crucial Roles To Maintain This Cellular Zinc Homeostasis. Zinc Transporters Control The Influx Of Zinc Into The Cytoplasm From Outside The Cell And From Vesicles. Zip1 Is A Prototypic Zip Transporter That Transports Zn Into The Cytosol From The Plasma Membrane And Is Ubiquitously Expressed In Human Tissues.  The Present Study Showed Upregulation Of Zip1 In Peritumorous Region Compared To Tumorous And Control Regions.
