Management of Power Quality in Transmission Line with Stable Voltage

Abstract
Due to increasing interconnectivity of power systems day by day due to continuous expansion of electric power usage, the voltage stability of the system and the quality of power reaching to end consumer is affected. The magnitude of bus voltages is found to be increased after the capacitive compensation was provided at the end of transmission line. The THD level spikes in the system due to presence of non- linear loads. First the current distorts and then passes through the system impedance causing the voltage across it to be distorted. Thus, the voltage harmonics increases. The voltage profile has been improved by injection of reactive power in the line and the system becomes more resistive towards voltage instability conditions.
