Phenotypic and Genotypic Detection of Fluoroquinolones Resistance Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Wound and Burns Infection.

Abstract

Sixten Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates were collected from unit of wound and burns in Al-Hilla Teaching Hospital in Babylon Province as unpolluted and main crops wholly(16) isolates were exposed for isolation and purification to typical bacteriological culturing processes on blood and MacConkey agar plates for 24-48 hours at 37oC after samples were recognized using morphological properties and biomedical tests. isolates, as calculated by the Vitek 2 method,displayed highest resistance to  Quinolones antibiotics:Ciprofloxacin (75%),Pefloxacin, Nitro furantion (100%) and Levofloxacin (50%).Molecular  results by conventional PCR thermocyclers revealed that all 16 examined isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa had Quinolones resistance  genes with a varying positive gyrA 15(93.75%), gyrB 6(37.5%) and parC 10(62.5%)were positive.
