Abstract
Nowadays, cotton double-cropping systems following rape (Brassica napus L.) in Golestan province is one of the appropriate methods in order to inserting cotton in crop rotation. Hence, weed control (rape volunteer plants, in especially) is a key program in inhibiting of cotton quality and quantity yield reduction
This study was arranged in randomized complete block design with 2 factors (cultivar and weed control program) and 4 replications Cultivars were Armaghan, Golestan and Sepid. Weed control program was applied in two methods: hand weeding and using of pre-planting and pre-emergence herbicides (Convey, Envok, Treflan and Dioran). herbicides.
The results indicated that Golestan have the highest yield in comparing to other cultivars. The highest control percent of rape vulentree was seen in envok There was the significant most total yield in Envok treatment application (1289 kg/ha) in compare to Convey (1155 kg/ha), Dioran (1159 kg/ha) and Treflan (1081 kg/ha). Then, using of Golestan cultivar into cotton double cropping following rape is advised in Golestan province and furthermore, application of Envoc, Dioran and Convey instead of Treflan as an herbicide in cotton double cropping following rape is is recommended.
