Human face consists of bilateral structures which require coordination to have a balanced or a well-defined symmetrical appearance. Any imbalance or disproportions between the homologous parts of the dentofacialcomplex can lead to asymmetry. Asymmetry can be either in skeletal, dental or soft tissue.
