Abstract

Currently, there is a shortage of water resources in the world and in Central Asia due to the development of irrigation and population growth. In addition, long-term forecasts for Uzbekistan indicate a shortage of water resources over the next five years. The main purpose of this work is to study the hydrological regime of the Amu-Bukhara canal, built in the middle reaches of the Amudarya. In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks were performed: A linear scheme of the Amu-Bukhara canal was drawn up, data on the Amu-Bukhara canal receiving water from the Amudarya were collected, analyzed, and the impact of the canal on the Amudarya water regime was studied.
