Phytochemical Analysis of Medicinal Plants by FTIR Analysis

Abstract

In the present study the medicinal plants named ChlorisparaguaiensisSteud, the leaves of GyrocarpusasiaticusWilld., and leaves of Breyniavitis-idaeawas evaluated for the presence of active phytochemical constituents with the help of FTIR analysis. Results revealed the presence of functional groups like alcohol, aldehydes, alkenes and ester groups. That is helpful the identification of active constituents used for the other experimental studies.
