Abstract

Methods for the formation of triangles with rational and integral sides, with the sides differing from the base by unity, as proposed by Nārāyaṇa Paṇḍita in his Gaṇita Kaumudī (1356 AD)[1] are described in detail and the relevant formulas are derived, using indeterminate equations and recursive techniques.
