The meeting is organized, each year, by another regional subsidiary of the Society. In 2006 the annual meeting was held in Iasi, as “The Second International Congress of Cellular and Molecular Biology”.
......In 2007, the Bucharest subsidiary organized the workshop, “Romanian Society for Cell Biology at 25 years, Anniversary workshop – From Basic Science to Therapeutic Applications”..In 2008, The 26th annual meeting of RSCB was organized by the Cluj-Napoca subsidiary, more exactly by Babes-Bolyai University. In 2009 it is organized by the Bistrita subsidiary. Each annual meeting benefits of a broad participation of prestigious scientific personalities from all over the world.
......The journal of the National Society for Cellular and Molecular Biology was first issued in 1996, under the name Current Problems and Techniques in Cellular and Molecular Biology, with English as publication language. In 2002 the name of the publication was changed to Analele Societatii Nationale de Biologie Celulara, it was issued yearly in Romanian with abstracts in English, edited by the Center of Electron Microscopy of Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Professor Constantin Craciun being editor in chief.
......Starting with the XIVth volume in 2009, the name of the journal became Annals of the Romanian Society for Cell Biology and it is edited only in English, by The Western “Vasile Goldis” University, in Arad, and “Babes-Bolyai” University in Cluj –Napoca, Professor Aurel Ardelean and Professor Constantin Craciun, respectively, being the coordinating editors. Annals of the Romanian Society for Cell Biology (RSCB) appears biannually, in June and in December.
